Subject: Increasing
lawlessness in the city.
Venerable Sir,
Through the courtesy of
your columns I wish to voice my concern and draw the attention of the concerned
authorities to a matter that is causing us great inconvenience. I have
personally observed that your newspaper always stresses on the problems of
common people.
I live in Karachi where
the most pressing problem is an increasing lawlessness in the city of light. Karachi
is often subjected to terrorist activities. Bomb blasts, dacoities, car and
bike lifting, mobile snatching, firings at public spots are resulting in great
loss of human life and assets. The peace loving people are finding it difficult
to lead normal life in this city.
The law and order
agencies seem to be quite helpless and ineffective in the matter. The
terrorists deserve no less than capital punishment. It is the duty of the
police to intensify their investigation to stop such activities. The government
should do something to apprehend these people and if necessary, declare Martial
law and hand over this city to Army to crush the culprits and try to bring
peace in Karachi.
Hope for a positive
anticipation by the concerned authorities in the crying need of my city.
Yours sincerely,
X-Y-Z,
Resident of Karachi.
